Art Paper

Art Paper transforms the language of collage into a collection of handcrafted wallcoverings with the presence of original artwork. Inspired by the abstract and geometric compositions of twentieth-century painting, each design is built through layered sheets, precise cut-outs, irregular edges and translucent overlaps. The result is a richly dimensional surface in which shadow, relief and subtle variations reveal themselves gradually across the wall.

Artisanal mulberry and tissue papers, left natural or tinted with pigments, are individually cut and assembled by hand. Their inherent qualities shape each composition: dense papers create a sculptural, velvety depth, while finer translucent layers introduce lightness and visual movement. No two panels are exactly alike, giving every installation a distinct and authentic material character.

Created in collaboration with Marie Papillaud and Vincent Gevin, Art Paper offers architects, interior designers and specifiers an exceptional decorative resource for high-end residential, hospitality and boutique commercial interiors. It is designed for feature walls, reception spaces, private lounges and considered rooms where surface, craft and artistic expression are integral to the project narrative.
